Expression built up within.

I don’t like my poems to be about me

but I feel the need to share the levels of expression built up within.

The feelings I have are like a man on a mountaintop over looking valleys and cliffs

Wondering how he got up there

Just like him I want to scream because words are not enough.

If I could scream out so loud that everyone would know the emotions that are beating in my heart

For every beat there is a different emotion

Love, The Incompleteness, Praise and Gratitude, Pride I hold in my work

The absence I feel from what I used to have

The fear the trust but most of all faith

To be nowhere and be nothing

But in a blink of an eye I went somewhere and became something

To be standing on that mountain top just won’t be enough

I hope you realize how difficult it is

To be up on that top so high up in the sky

That I was that one man that cried

My words can’t do justice to what I felt on that top

Not until the next world will I be able to unfold such a gift that was given

To have walked where the most loved have walked to have seen what they have seen to have touched what they have touched

Makes the feelings of unworthiness fall on me like that mountaintop collapsed.

Inspiration

It has many different forms you may find it under a tree while seeing the

sunrays glowing through those red and yellow leaves

you may find it at a coffee shop at twelve o clock at night watching

people reflecting on their day with a friend or alone

you may find it through other people’s arts or in your own

through songs,

paintings, writings, dance, drama, photography, crafts or trades,

you may gain it through times of struggles and tests

you may gain it from happiness and love

you may gain it out anger, hurt, loneliness or fear

for all its worth 

its all for you to find it in your own way.

whether it be in painting, singing or what ever you use to commune

with your soul

find a way to express your feelings

I promise you will not be alone.

whether hurt or love expressing your true self through art can only

benefit you.

A picture is like a thousand words

life telling stories through imagery

black and white or in full color

let the images give you the full coverage

that landscape shot that no one can believe

to that portrait shot that

ignites the love in someone’s heart

which gives them a  new set of eyes to view his newly awakened life

to break down the barriers of prejudice, hate, and war with our brothers and sisters

a brush stroke is like a thousand words

emotions crashing in you making your stomach feel twisted and empty inside

seeing the pain and hardship that was faced to make the masterpiece that’s on the wall

for every different color of paint and brushstrokes you see

you feel the blood rush from the center of your heart to the tips of your toes to the millisecond that the bumps on the back of your neck become raised.

the life changing opportunity of seeing that Pollock or Gogh original.

music may have no words but the melodious notes in themselves have a story to tell

from the crisp sounds of those new violin strings to the old strings that make those piano keys ring

music that uplifts the soul and inspires individuals to take part in their own

a poet’s word is like ten thousand words

how detailed the description is in that poem of love or anger how you can feel the loneliness, the warmth, the fear, nervousness, the ambition as if it were your own

 all through words alone.
