No Time
You have your paper
You have your pen
You have a tablespoon of sand
that will not fight gravity to give you
more...............Time
more...............Time
At some point in our life we
will find ourselves in this place
With our friends or family members
This is something we have put off until the last minute!
Whether it is that grudge you held, that apology you
denied or the lack of telling someone you love them
Why is it that we wait until we are on our deathbeds or we
are standing over theirs that we decide to say what we needed to say?
Things like
How much we appreciate them…
How much we miss them…
How much we still need them…
How much you cry for them…
How it hurts us to see close ones cry for their absents…
If we know what we want to say, then why wait?
If you wanted to say sorry or even thank you why do we put
it off?
Saying you love someone or apologizing to someone for your
mistakes for not being there when they needed you most!
A statement as important as that shouldn't be put off like
your weekly laundry that just builds up in the corner!
A statement with such life giving opportunities that was
just left in the dark hoping that one day it would be found and brought into
light!
I find myself in question asking if I should have brought
it up myself?
Was I the one hiding from it?
Was I the one running from what needed to be faced?
Was it truly in the other person’s hands?
Now the hourglass has turned and the last grain has just
finished spiraling its way through a tight and narrow squeeze just to disturb
the rest of the Pile by its fast descent into the sand
Shifting the sand to the edge of the glass
Leaves us with
Another incomplete chapter.
The next chapter will be called “lessons learned…”
